Areas of Expertise

Dr. Heather C. provides counseling for performing artists, on screen, behind the camera, back stage, designers, administrators, musicians, and artistic leaders who may be struggling with mental health issues. Whether it's anxiety, depression, or performance-related issues, Dr. Heather C. can help you develop the skills and tools to manage your mental health and thrive in your career.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy

Dr. Heather C. specializes in ACT to help performing artists identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be impacting their mental health and performance. By working together, we can develop coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

Dr. Heather C. uses psychotherapy to help performing artists explore and understand their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Through this process, we can work together to address and overcome any mental health challenges that may be affecting your career, relationships, and well-being.

Supervisor Dr. Melissa Rowland, Lic. 071008544

Dr. Heather believes that mental health is just as important as physical health, especially for performing artists. We engage through creativity, movement, acting approaches, character analysis, and performance skills in our work together. We explore parallels between skills in performing arts and those in mental health. Our approach is to provide a safe and supportive space for artists to explore their psychological wellbeing and develop the skills and tools to manage any challenges that may arise. We believe in a collaborative approach, working together with artists to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
